Vernon Knightner

Vernon Knightner is a self-motivated, seasoned professional with more than 20 years of onsite maintenance and project management experience within multi-tenant establishments, who enjoys identifying and solving challenges, leading teams, and improving efficiencies.

Prior to joining SREA, Vernon was a Building Maintenance Superintendent at Mercy Douglas in Philadelphia where he oversaw the daily maintenance and upkeep of a 58 unit/80 tenant apartment complex, oversaw supplier bids, interviewed prospective suppliers, and conducted minor plumbing, electrical and equipment repairs as needed.

Vernon then moved on to became a Maintenance Manager at Scottish Rite House in Philadelphia where he managed a total annual opening budget of $50,000, managed a team of maintenance professionals, contractors and suppliers, and also oversaw the preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, sewer, and electrical systems. During that time Vernon also improved HUD/REAC scores by 50%, inspected facility systems daily to identify and mitigate all challenges and risks, and performed routine building inspections with a high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs.
