In September 2015, in a joint venture with Alterra Property Group (“Alterra”), SREA acquired 1760 Market Street (“1760”), a 130,000 square foot, 15-story office building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 1760 is located on the corner of Market and 18th Streets in the true center of Market Street West. The Building’s premier location is just two blocks away from the hub of the city’s transportation network, Suburban Station.
1760 was previously owned by AFIAA, a Swiss pension fund advisor. Upon acquisition, SREA took over the property management and leasing responsibilities for the Building. Alterra and SREA plan on repositioning the Building to make it the location of choice for creative and tech users looking to be near Rittenhouse Square and the Comcast campus.
On-site Ownership plans on giving 1760 a major facelift with renovations to the exterior and upgrades to the entrance, lobby and common areas. The Building’s offset core creates optimal floor plates for open, collaborative (and column free) work spaces with plenty of natural light. Indoor parking is available immediately adjacent to the Building and Philadelphia’s finest restaurants, hotels and shops are in close proximity.
