In January 2007, in a joint venture with Hartford-based CBRE Realty Finance, SREA acquired 1515 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 1515 is located on the northwest corner of Market and 15th Streets in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, immediately to the west of City Hall. The Building’s location is considered to be one of the premier sites in the Philadelphia CBD. This class “A” Building rises twenty (20) stories above Philadelphia’s most coveted site to assert its keystone position in Center City.
Following the acquisition, SREA undertook a dramatic repositioning of the asset to make it the location of choice for Philadelphia’s legal and business tenants. The tenants of 1515 Market Street enjoy direct access to Philadelphia’s extensive underground retail concourse through the lobby of the Building. Parking is also directly accessed through the underground concourse providing protection from the weather from car to office.
